loves creating a buzz! movies. music. tv shows. concerts. events. reviews.

The actual number I would never know but I think there were more than seventy fans in the Handalan Theatre of Nee Soon South CC. I was told this was the same venue of last year gathering. The stage was simple because the focus was on the man and nothing more.
Fans who came will get to know some secrets and habits of him like, what he does first when he woke up? What’s his ringtone? Who’s picture is on his handphone wallpaper? You weren’t there so you’ll never know. (Haha!) There were lots of games that we get to see the funny side of him. He even got punk’d in one of them.

Hyrul decides to give a suprise for his fans by performing three song in an “acoustic” setting accompanied by his friend, Shamil. He sang “Seindah Biasa” and “Ketulusan Hati”. Personally, I love his own composition, “Be With You” it was easy listening, fresh and had meaningful lyrics. Maybe there’s too much RnB influenced songs that our local talents are doing so to hear this from him was different and better. Hope this song will be included in his future album.
Even though he has no album to show, he’s not in the frontline of the Singapore music industry, he’s still one of the best winners of the competition and also he had grown to be a better performer with his experience as an artiste of SAF’s Music and Drama Company. His vocal performance should be the benchmark for young local performers today. His confidence and friendliness on stage builds a strong bond between him and his fans. I’m sure most who came to watch him loves him more after this and those who thinks his flame is gone… wait till after 6th September!

On the day, I go to know the Hyrulites better by being a working committee of the event itself. Having some experience in handling events with Qrios.SG and 3Arts under the wings of Abang Irwan and Kak Siti, I decide to apply it on this event. Helping me out as FM was Zuraimi, hope this was a great learning experience for you. Thanks Fiza, Liana, Aishah, Jamilah and Zuraimi for the trust and opportunity.
As for Hyrul, I wish him all the best and may he succeed in everything he does. As the saying goes, first say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.
