Do I have to review Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
Some movies are beyond opinions and analysis. I love the Indiana Jones movies — they exist to me as a fact of life, not as individual entities of entertainment. Their collective snap and dazzle are beyond my criticisms; they are exuberance personified. So ingrained are their very essences within my psyche that my only fear for Crystal Skull was that the new movie might not get the spirit right. But what was I worried about? Steven Spielberg and his crew haven’t missed a beat. The movie feels so “Indy,” it’s as if the 19-year hiatus in making these films never even existed.

This is an thriller with superb performances, a decent plot and some thought-provoking ideas about identity and human nature underneath its twisty tale.
Five men (including Jim Caviezel, Greg Kinnear and Barry Pepper) wake up in a locked warehouse with no idea of who they are or how they got there. The evidence suggests that two of them are kidnapping victims and the other three are hardened criminals, but the men have no idea who’s who so they try and piece together what happened.

Anyone who despairs of ever again seeing a decent romantic comedy will want to know that the new Patrick Dempsey vehicle, Made Of Honor, is worth the price of admission.
The story isn’t all that fresh but the characters are, and the screen pairing of Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan is a bit of inspired business. Dempsey is a player in this movie, a ladies’ man who can’t make a commitment, and Monaghan has just the spirit to keep up with him in her role as his very best friend. She’s unimpressed with his conquests. She’s fun to be around. She chooses good desserts. She tolerates none of his crap. By the time Dempsey realizes he’s in love with her, everybody in the movie audience is in love with her too.

The Wachowski brothers haven’t helmed a film since 2003′s “The Matrix Revolutions.” The siblings seem to be a bit rusty. Their big-screen, big-budget adaptation of the popular “Speed Racer” anime series is like the Willy Wonka of racing movies.
Colorful, vibrant and cartoonish to a fault, “Speed” is a visual feast that nearly warrants a warning for epileptics in the opening credits. But the picture is also incredibly faithful to the source material and should thoroughly impress the show’s diverse fanbase.
