I would respectfully disagree about certain criticisms about “Dark Knight.” I always thought that Jack Nicholson simply played himself with white makeup. The re-imagining of the batman film franchise created characters which were interesting and scenes which tugged at the heartstrings now and then. I believe the films are worth the money, besides, I have not heard Tim Burton grinding his teeth at Mr. Nolan’s portrayal of the Batman narrative.

This movie is rubbish.
Heath Ledgers performance is good but the character lacks the personaility of previous villians. Jack Nicholson as the Joker was much better.
The film is differerent to the previous comic book styles and lacks style.
It is too long, boring, the plot is rubbish and the effects are not too great.

A disappointing film.

No doubt the hype is intended to immortalise Heath Ledger, who previously did some good roles in better quality films, but this is poor and it would be better not to associate his good name with it.

Save your money.

A return to the old style comic book directing would be better. This is just another guns and car chase movie.

There are few notable performances in this film, the characters are flat and dull. It lacks the chemistry of the earlier films.
If this is the way for future Batman films i suggest we let it rest and just run repeats. Do not destroy what was a good series, a schoolboy fantasy movie.

i still wish Katie Holmes had stayed on board as Rachel Dawes for the Dark Knight; it was like the time spent getting familiar with her character in Batman Begins was wasted…
