Thoroughly delightful animated adventure from the geniuses at Pixar, this is a beautifully designed, superbly written and brilliantly directed family movie that is both moving and laugh-out-loud funny.

Directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo), WALL-E is set hundreds of years in the future, where WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) is the last robot on Earth, left to clear up the enormous amounts of trash after mankind was forced to leave the planet. WALL-E spends his days collecting little knick-knacks, watching Hello Dolly over and over again and building enormous structures out of compressed squares of metallic junk, with only a tiny cockroach for company.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is another romantic comedy that is worth to watch. Sadly again to our younger moviegoers its rated M18 here in Singapore. It’s an enjoyable comedy with a smart script and likeable performances from all four leads. Especially my favourite female lead Mila Kunis! Warning spoilers!

Jason Segel plays Peter, a musician who gets dumped by his girlfriend, TV star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell), after a five year relationship. He’s devastated and finds that he can’t even throw himself into his work, because his main job is scoring her TV show.

Death Race is in our cinemas today and it’s going to rock the movie charts this weekend. Although its NC16 in Singapore I’m sure most of us action fans would love to catch this one. Warning spoilers!

Like first love, or just a crowbar to the Adam’s apple, “Death Race” works fast and hits hard. A prison flick and a car chase movie at the same time? I am so there.

That iron-skulled Cockney hard man Jason Statham continues to be lord and master of the B movie, playing a laid-off steel worker and race-car driver who gets framed for a murder and thrown into a cell on Terminal Island.

This will be an unarthodox fashion event, organised by students from Singapore Management University Malay Language & Cultural Club (SMU MLCC) and LASALLE Collage of The Arts.
