“Rewang ‘Nak Tari”, is a combination of these three words with the meaning “a collaboration of Singapore’s Malay Dance Art groups in showcasing the rich kaleidoscope of traditional Malay Dances for the Community”.

Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) is thirty years old and wants to have a baby. The problem is she has never met Mr. Right. So, with no prospect of that changing anytime soon and her baby-bearing clock ticking away, she opts for artificial insemination from an unknown donor. On the very day of the procedure, though, the elusive Mr. R will enter her life and things get complicated with “The Back-Up Plan.”

I have been there and seen this lightweight piece of showcase fluff many times before and I did not think it could be worse than, say, any other J Lo film. “The Back-Up Plan” is not the worst Jennifer Lopez vehicle (In “An Unfinished Life” and “The Cell” – both good films – she is a member of the cast, not the star, so they do not count). However, it is first and foremost a chick flick so do not expect much sympathy from me on this movie

Enjoyable, impressively directed and superbly acted comedy-drama with a sharply written script that’s both darkly funny and surprisingly moving.

Directed by Sam Mendes, from a script by Vendela Vida and Dave Eggers, Away We Go stars John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph as thirty-something couple Burt and Verona, who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant with their first child. When Burt’s parents (Catherine O’Hara and Jeff Daniels), who live nearby, announce that they’re moving to Belgium, Burt and Verona realise that there’s no longer anything tying them to where they live, so they take a road trip in order to decide where they should raise their imminent child.

With the increased popularity of Suria’s local dramas, Anugerah Skrin makes a comeback in search for fresh-faced actors. The series will be hosted by a popular and award-winning actor with more than 10 years of acting and hosting experience, Suzairhe Sumari. He will partner Huda Ali, the female winner of Anugerah Skrin 2006, who is currently busy filming in a movie in Malaysia. Shahril Wahid, the male winner of Anugerah Skrin 2006, will complete the list of hosts for the competition.

For Anugerah Skrin 2010, 24 aspiring actors have been shortlisted to continue their journey to be the next Anugerah Skrin Champions. One male and one female Champion will get $5000 cash each, roles in Suria’s programmes, a movie produced by KRU Studios, a special teledrama produced by MediaCorp Eaglevision, as well as an opportunity to be involved in English productions.

Each week these contestants will be asked to act in different drama genres to test their acting skills. They may spar with each other as well as several experienced actors. The contestants will be guided throughout the competition by 2 established actors who act as their mentors – Seri Wahyuni Jaes who is also a TV scriptwriter and Sani Husin, who is currently an Arts educator.

These are the resident judges and mentors
This year’s resident judges are Khairudin Samsudin and Rilla Melati Bahri who are famous child actors and have respectively excelled in creative fields such as directing and scriptwriting.

Winners will be selected based on judges’ score (50%) and popularity votes by the public (50%). Audience can vote from Tuesday from 8.30pm to Friday at 6pm the same week. Each vote costs $0.60.

Anugerah Skrin will make its debut LIVE on Tuesday, 4 May 2010 at 8.30pm on Suria. The series will be telecast at 8.30pm every Tuesday (Drama segment) and LIVE every Friday (Results show).
