Hello readers! Welcome to iZone.SG!
My name is Mohamad Izarrudin Arbani, my friends from primary to tertiary studies called me Izar, my army buddies call me Din. Born in 1978, 19th September so I’m a virgo and obviously my favourite number is either 9 or 19 (hehe!)

I’ve been surfing the web since 1997, since the time when we were all still using dial-ups, my passion for web designing began in 98, my first website was a fansite for Metallica, 
then it’s Liverpool FC, Tiong Bahru United and then finally to a Siti Nurhaliza fansite called ChannelSiti.com during those booming internet times, it was exciting and the learning process was a blur!

About blogging…
Well I’m not into blogging till just 4 years back. My first blog was in Blogger, used and learned it, but now I’ve found WordPress, I’ve been using it since, I find it to be very versatile and a more organized software for blogging purposes.

Why iZone.SG was created?
Well… some of my friends wanted to see me with my own domain name but to put my name izarrudin.com would be very “obvious” so I know Siti Nurhaliza has sitizone.com so I can have my own zone too, thats how the name iZone.SG came about. The I represents Izarrudin. Simple and easy to remember right?

Also I wanted to know how actually bloggers can earn money through blogging and as I’ve experienced it so far, you truely can earn some cash if writing is your passion, you can write about anyting! I’m sure there will people coming to read it and that’s how you can earn cash via advertisers.

More about me…
I’m the eldest in the family, got my PSLE at Pandan Primary (this school’s extinct), studied my O’Levels in St. Thosmas Secondary (this school’s extinct too). Being the eldest you have that pressure of always doing the right thing saying the right words for your siblings to follow but I’m not perfect, I had my rough times especially after secondary school but I’m glad those times had made me wiser today.

I’m a really late bloomer because I got my diploma in 2004, when I was 26, so before that I’ve been working and idling haha! Wasting some parts of my life to what I don’t really remember but after 2004, it’s no turning back for me, my mom always believes in me and kept reminding me that, my dad well he’s the quiet type but I know he does support me too if not, he won’t be the one that’s sending me to school or accompanying me when I wanted to pursue my studies!

My dream…
I have this dream to have my own company, to do what you love, what you are passionate about. Work on your own terms, earning your own money, working for yourself and not for someone else.

Having your own company does not mean you can go around and boast all about it, to me it’s just an achievement in this short life. I wanted to experience it. I started as a sole proprietor in 2005, doing graphics and web design. It last for a year and in 2006 with a bunch of close friends, all of us being the directors with different passion, but the same dream created QRIOS.SG Pte Ltd. It’s been an experience that I would treasure.
