Slowly, Kampung Singgahsini develops. More concrete houses and buildings were built in the kampung. Build around Adam’s house and his school. With development, come increased population. But the new residents are migrants from the cities. Even the name Kampung Singgahsini wasn’t spared and was promptly changed to Singgahsini City.
The new residents see Adam’s family as the indigenous people of the place. They came to the place bringing with them their city culture. Adam’s new school friends see him as a backward person not up to their standard. Usually Adam ignores them but there were also times when he felt belittled. Until one day when Adam took part in a Mathematics competition in school. Will the “backward kampung boy” win the competition?
